The Rajasthani town of Jodhpur has a marvellous fort. Walk out of the town and find a rise, lie flat at the crest, looking out to the fort in the shimmering late afternoon heat. Perhaps a little eating opium helps, but it's easy to imagine yourself as a great avenging, warrior planning the morrows' assault and contemplating the inevitability of victory. And all your foe could do was quake in the towers and feel his kingdom fade.

REVENGE
A galaxy of soldiers fine, stretches up to the crest
As I stand at the head of the line, they know I am the best
I have waited many moons, for this chance to repeat
You will dance despair and doom, in the hands of defeat
I glance there behind me now, at my legion of strength
I will tear your standard down, as a god I’ve been sent
My men will follow anywhere, they have absolute trust
Try again a futile repair, you can’t parry my thrust
And in waves we will come, and no challenge we’ll shun
This time you’re caught
You may quake in the towers, by tonight they’ll be ours
We will storm the fort
And in waves we will come, with the dawn of the sun
And with danger fraught
You may forsake all your friends and only hasten your end
We will storm the fort
One movement from my up-raised arm, and the die has been cast
A ripple on the morning calm, a faint sigh from your past
Can you feel your kingdom fade as you peer from the wall
Do you see the error you made, to oppose one so tall
And in waves we are come, as a funeral drum
For your time is short
You may run for escape, you will never be safe
We will storm the fort
And in waves we are come, and no challenge we’ll shun
This time you’re caught
You may quake in the towers, by tonight they’ll be ours
We will storm the fort
Storm the fort (storm the fort)
Storm the fort (storm the fort)
Storm the fort (storm the fort)
Storm the fort (storm the fort)
Storm the fort (storm the fort)
Storm the fort (storm the fort)
