about

The Ents predated the Elves in Middle Earth but were of similar non-Earthly stuff. As keepers of the Trees, their anger had been growing at the work of the Orc armies that the White Wizard, Saruman employed to fuel his grand secret plan of turning to the Eye. Enamoured of his powers derived from the Palantir he had acquired, Saruman, could not see that he was in Sauron’s thrall and would not survive long once the Ring was located.

With Ent leader Fangorn (Treebeard) sparked by halfling intelligence, the last straw was loaded and an Ent Moot was inevitable. The moot slowly gathered momentum, then these normally placid creatures were overcome with fury. Saruman had bitten off more forest than he should’ve, and once roused, the Ents were a formidable and totally fearless foe. Much to the hitherto White Wizard’s chagrin.

lyrics

ENT SONG

I may look like a tree, but I'm not what I seem
When you deal with me, looks can deceive
When the word is sent, to slow-stirring Ents
We may take our time, no haste to receive

I am the oldest one, the Elves were still to come
I've been working here, for thousands of years
Fangorn my name and home, ages come and go
There are few who know, the keepers of the trees

But look out Saruman, now we know the truth
Can't recall such anger here, since I was just a youth
Look out Saruman, your towers will come down
Your power comes to nothing now, so take a look around

In Isengard we put our trust
The Istari, wise and just
But you have turned and so we turn on you

Hoom hom boom boom rum boom boorar boom hom
Dahrar hom dahrar boom um hom boom dahrar boorar boom

In Fangorn I have dwelt, and Orthanc we'd felt
Was safe with Saruman, but now we understand
I see Sauron's hand, shadows cross the land
It's time for Ents to stand, our anger is fanned

So, look out Saruman, we know you've seen the eye
Sauron may have won your heart, but we can read the lie
Look out Saruman, we hear the Huorns tread
Your orcs are just a nuisance pack, they'll be piling up your dead
Yeah, look out Saruman, your world soon in shreds
Your servants' axes not a match, for the fury of the Ents
So, look out Saruman, yeah, look out Saruman
Look out Saruman, look out Saruman
So, look out Saruman, yeah, look out Saruman
Look out Saruman, look out Saruman
