Talkers think that the act can work its way through any problem. When they don't talk, it's only because they don't want to resolve the issue. But sometimes they run into someone who knows it's not resolvable. The talker cannot accept the blind coming down, that there is nothing left to say. The talker is invariably wrong and in the long term, the best result comes from the call for silence. Often this means parting, but still the best result

CALL FOR SILENCE
You say there’s no good reason to try to talk it out
You’re positive of what you want, you’re in no doubt
I had hoped for reassurance and you need it too
But if you desire a silence that will have to do
All right, I’ll say good night to you
Hold tight and I will say goodnight
All right, I’ll say good night to you
But it’s a pity in the long term
There’s only so many bridges we can burn
You say there’s no good reason for you to try to change
You’re positive of what you want, it’s just so strange
I know you know your weakness, there you stand alone
And I know there are many I can call my own
All right, I’ll say good night to you
Hold tight and I will say goodnight
All right, I’ll say good night to you
But it’s a pity in the long term
There’s only so many bridges we can burn
You know there’s one good reason for us to persevere
I want to wake and find tomorrow I can hold you near
What’s done or left unsaid won’t turn me round
I want to talk to you, you’re beautiful, I won’t let you down
All right, I’ll say good night to you
Hold tight and I will say goodnight
All right, I’ll say good night to you
But it’s a pity in the long term
There’s only so many bridges we can burn
All right, I’ll say good night to you
Hold tight and I will say goodnight
All right, I’ll say good night to you
But it’s a pity in the long term
There’s only so many bridges we can burn
